I was watching my favorite Presidential Candidate Ron Paul on CSPAN covering the Straw Poll speeches.
The news media is doing the exact same thing to him as they did in 2008.
They cut him off for 6 minutes. From 1:08PM Eastern Time to 1:13 P.M Eastern Time.
Why is the media unwilling to let him speak? What were they protecting us from hearing? Why is he such a threat that a news outlet that pretends to be unbiased?
We hear all the time that all of us have the right to "free speech". I have not seen free speech since the protest marches of the 1960's and 1970's. Which did turn into riots many times when the authorities showed up to stop free speech.
I am watching Tim Pawlenty speaking on CSPAN and he is not getting cut off. He speaks the line that Wall Street wants so he is safe to speak.
Ron Paul probably was speaking about ending the war on drugs and other things the powers at CSPAN does not want us to hear.
This is FREEDOM?
One last thing. The Republicans here in Florida have figured out a way to deny people on Medicare their benefits. They are doing it under the guise of "The War on Drugs". Here is how they are doing it.
Lets say you are like me Handicapped with one foot on a banana peel and the other in the grave and you are in horrific pain. So I take pain medicine. First I was prescribed Oxycontin and I decided it was deadly poison and I turned it back into my doctor. He then prescribed me Lucynta and it has worked unbelievably well and does not make me feel out of control. Besides my presciption plan is not covering it so I will have to pay out of pocket for it. I am to be drug tested because I take a pain medication.
This is being sprung on people with no prior warning. So lets say you smoke marijuana to reduce your pain. In Florida it is a FELONY. So if you test positive for a drug you are not prescribed or you get a "FALSE" positive this information is being given to Social Security and Medicare and you are penalized by your benefits being reduced and you also get fined by your Social Security income gets reduced by on average 33% for 18 months.
You may say to yourself "good it gets rid of junkies".
The bad part of this whole thing is no State of Florida employee is ever drug tested. No State Attorneys, no Judges, No politicians, nobody.
Why is it that the Federal Government is the same way. No drug tests for Politicians, no Judges, no Attorneys, nobody.
To clarify this if you are working in a "privatized" organization that does work for the Federal Government you are not an Federal employee so you will be drug tested.
This is opening another Pandora's Box of the destruction of your rights.
Think about this the DEA was created by Tricky Dick Nixon to make marijuana a felony offense to bust Hippie protesters. He saw marijuana as a hippie protester drug of choice.
I grew up in that era and my older brother was a Hippie. He and his friends loved LSD they did not care for marijuana. So the worst President in American history put this on us and it is still destroying citizens lives long after his death.
Why one set of oppressive laws on us peasants and a different set of Laws for the American Government on all levels?
Why?
